We are Something Borrowed

Destination Wedding Experience Planners & Designers in Portugal.

We wear sneakers most days, but know exactly when to switch to heels with confidence. Confessed tech nerds, we also love to unplug, watch the sunset and enjoying the best Portugal has to offer with our loved ones. We love to travel, discover new places, but Portugal is always home — for its food, its light, its amazing and incredibly different landscapes, its people and how we welcome everyone.

The ocean is our border and our home; it grounds and frees us, feeds our creativity, and brings that salty breeze that refreshes the body and mind. The Atlantic soul opens our world so we can create yours.

foodie, traveller, wedding lover (and planner)

Teresa Perdigão

I have a degree in Communication Sciences, but I was never drawn to Journalism. Instead, I gravitated toward institutional communication, human resources, and marketing — all related to understanding people’s behavior. When I realized that events were the right path for me, I pursued a postgraduate degree in Image, Protocol & Event Management, which laid the foundations for creating Something Borrowed.

Persistence, organization, and curiosity are probably my greatest strengths.

I’m addicted to details and I love finding ways to bring together loose ideas into perfect balance with every experience I create — it’s something as natural to me as breathing.

Facts matter (and having a plan is essential), but emotions are one important compass and have always pointed me in the right direction.

I’m a foodie, always on the lookout for the best hidden spots to enjoy a meal with great company, and a traveler, collecting destinations with joy and intention.

More than a wedding planner, I am a wedding lover. Welcoming, planning, and walking alongside couples, their families, and friends, sharing their love and the emotions of such special days is an incredible privilege.

Fun fact #1

I have Armenian ancestry (a great-great-grandfather who emigrated to the UK) and once bought a painting at an art auction by a French artist — who, by coincidence, had the same Armenian surname my family once used, before my ancestors let go of it generations ago, at a time when keeping it could have drawn unwanted attention.

Fun fact #2

I’ve been a flight attendant and chief purser, took a course for young farmers and got an advanced scuba diving license just so I could dive in the Galápagos Islands. What will the next adventure be?
