Absolutely. Many of our couples lead busy professional lives but still want their wedding to reflect who they are.
Our process is straightforward and structured, designed to keep you engaged in the key decisions without being overwhelmed.
We handle the practical (and often tedious) parts, allowing you to focus your time and energy on the enjoyable ones.

Because your time is precious and peace of mind is priceless. We bring creativity, assertiveness, and experience to every plan (A, B, C and beyond), the right teams for each event, and the insight to make Portugal unforgettable for those discovering it. We’re honest and direct, especially when an idea might not work. A well-timed “this won’t fly” ensures there’s space and opportunity for a brilliant plan B. If we crush your dreams for a second, we’ll atone with something even better.
We work with only a dozen couples each year, ensuring dedicated focus and time. With us, you receive transparency, clarity, confidence and an event that feels as effortless as it looks.

We offer two main services:

  • The Wedding Planning – full planning for a one-day wedding with ceremony, meal, and celebration.
  • The Wedding Experience – full planning for a multi-day destination event designed as an immersive experience for you and your guests, from the welcome cocktail to the farewell brunch.

Regardless of your event’s size, we plan civil, symbolic, and religious ceremonies and can easily integrate your cultural or spiritual traditions.

Always, and with great joy. We believe in love in all its forms and celebrate every story with the same enthusiasm, creativity, and care. When we say we’re great hosts, we mean it, with full responsibility and kindness.

We don’t set minimums, but we do believe in realistic, fair budgets. We’ll be transparent about what’s possible within your investment, and that sometimes means saying “no” or suggesting a creative alternative.

Yes. We review proposals, compare costs, negotiate conditions, and help you invest in what truly matters.
We don’t make blind cuts, but thoughtful, intentional ones, always aligned with your budget and what is really meaningful to you. Every choice is strategic, on par with your vision, and designed to maintain the quality high and the experience true to what you have in mind.

We work with a transparent planning fee, explained during our first meeting. For significantly larger or more complex weddings, we may apply a percentage model that reflects the additional hours of management, logistics, and team coordination required.
We collaborate with trusted, experienced vendors and know the local market well. We do not apply markups to partner proposals; all payments are made directly to each vendor. Transparency and trust are cornerstones of Something Borrowed.

Just the right amount, and always structured and meaningful.
We share planning tools and regular updates, keeping the process clear, guided, and decision-ready. We create a WhatsApp group for quick questions, reminders, or the occasional emergency. Email remains our primary communication channel, as it keeps everything organised and traceable (and saves you from endless scrolling).
Replies can sometimes take a bit longer when we’re waiting for information from our partners, but we always respond with care, clarity, and a human touch.
We’re mindful of meetings: you’ll receive a clear planning timeline and information in phases, with calls scheduled only when needed and include a bit of “homework” to make each step productive.

Once you reach out, you’ll receive a warm welcome email with a link to schedule your introductory call.
Before we talk, you’ll get a short questionnaire to share your priorities, ideas, and a couple of fun facts about you.
That info will keep our first conversation focused and personal.
From there, we’ll guide you step by step, clearly, calmly, with genuine excitement.
When you feel ready, don’t wait too long to decide. We take on only 10–12 weddings per year, and dates are secured only after the contract is signed and the initial deposit is made.

Ideally, we should be the first team you contact — even before booking your venue.
We’re the thread that ties every detail together through a clear, structured process. With a well-drawn map (your vision, budget, and guest count), we’ll help you discover the perfect combination: venue, catering, decor, photography, and beyond, all aligned with the big picture: your wedding event!

We don’t work on exclusivity with vendors, always seeking the perfect match in style, budget, and personality.
We happily explore your suggestions, cross-check feedback with trusted peers, and give you freedom to choose, with accurate information and confidence. The final call is always yours, with our full support.
